Marrakech to Sahara in 12 days

Day 1: Welcome to Marrakech : transfer to your Hotel / Riad

 

We will greet you at the airport and transfer you to your Riad/Hotel.

 

Day 2: Full Day to Visit Marrakech with a local guide

 

Meet the local guide to take you on a walking tour at the Medina, have lunch at the heart of old town, and head to explore Majorelle Garden, overnight in Marrakech.

 

Day 3: Marrakech » Ait Ben Haddou » Ouarzazate 

 

Departure to Ouarzazate crossing the high Atlas Mountains, visit Ait Benhaddou Kasbah and the Cinematographic Centers .overnight at Ouarzazate.

 

Day 4: Ouarzazate » Merzouga (Erg Chebbi) 

 

Head to Merzouga, crossing Rose valley visit Todgha Gorge, overnight at Merzouga.

 

Day 5: Explore Merzouga area (Erg Chebbi Sahara Desert) 

 

Explore the Merzouga area and enjoy some Gnawa music at Khamlia village, head back to the hotel to take the camels to spend one night at the Sahara desert under the Berber tents, enjoy the shining stars in the open sky.

 

Day 6: Merzouga Camel trek & Overnight in desert camp

 

Today our 12-day trip from Marrakech continues and we will explore desert are. We ride camels and we reach the dunes of Erg Chebbi, the highest in Morocco. We will also visit a Berber family and also Khamlia village,  After lunch in Merzouga, we ride camels in the sand dunes to reach desert camp.

We will spend this night in desert Sahara camp where we will enjoy Berber drums music in the middle of the Sahara. You will also enjoy the sunset and sunrise in the desert. After traditional Moroccan dinner, we stay overnight in desert tents.

 

Day 7: Merzouga » Rissani » Erfoud » Ziz Valley » Errachidia » Midelt

Head to Midelt, visit Rissani, Ziz valley, and cross Errachidia, overnight at Midelt.

 

Day 8: Midlet » Atlas Mountains » Azrou (Cedar Forest) » Fes Imperial 

 

Departure to Fes, crossing the Middle Atlas Mountains, feed the monkeys at the Majestic Ceder Woods of Azrou. Cross Ifran and Overnight in Fes.

 

Day 9: Fes Sightseeing tour with a local guide

 

Explore Fes Medieval medina with a local guide; visit the Tanneries, and Ceramics of the town. Overnight at a traditional riad in Fes...

 

Day 10: Fes » Volubilis » Meknes » Rabat 

 

Leave Fes to visit Volubilis ‘the Roman ruins’, lunch in Meknes, and overnight at a hotel in Rabat..

 

Day 11: Rabat » Casablanca » Marrakech 

 

Visit Rabat’s historical landscapes and head to Casablanca, visit Hassan II mosque have a drink or lunch at Rick’s Café, or by the Atlantic Ocean, head to Marrakech.  

 

Day 12: Free day in Marrakech

 

Last-minute shopping at Marrakech and packing/ Departure from Marrakech to your airport, where our 12-day trip from Marrakech ends.
